Understanding the Floor Plan
Strip Stand. Very similar to the stand above in that it is facing out onto three gangways. It does have a lot more wall area and stands like this are often used by retailers at public shows. They will put a counter along the full frontage of the stand and have a lot of wall space for displaying their products.
L Shaped Stand. This stand faces out onto all four gangways with visitors approaching from four sides. Not a problem at a Trade Show but could raise security issues at a Public Show. Plenty of room to incorporate a 2m x 2m lockable storage cupboard. Offers all sorts of possibilities for dividing the stand into seating and display areas.
Through Stand. I really like these stands, probably because they are not often used.
Great for creating a quiet atmosphere in a busy hall. Needs good lighting to make it work.
Island Site. As a Shell Scheme stand you actually have no walls at all. In this format you will get just a roof propped up by pillars. The organizer will sometimes give you an allowance of walling for you to divide up the area.
Island sites are often purchased as Space Only and a custom stand is built to the client’s specification. A lot can be done using standard Shell Scheme components. Talk to the Shell Scheme contractor about the possibilities.
These are the layouts you will see in most shows. Remember that shell scheme is a very flexible system. You can individualize stands just by adding a different fascia, or a tower... talk to the appointed shell scheme contractor, I am sure they will be delighted to help you.
